Are you ready to make your own centrepiece for the beautiful fall season?
Let’s get started!
I started off with an empty wood box that I double lined with cellophane so it could be filled with water. You could also put a vase within your container instead of the plastic. I also used chicken wire instead of floral foam in this arrangement. The floral foam doesn’t break down and some flowers don’t do well in it. The chicken wire is great because you can take your stems and reinsert if you don’t like where they are placed. Floral foam will break if you keep taking your stems in and out for placement.
Supplies needed for this arrangement:
Container
Chicken wire
Sharp sheers
3 stems of sunflowers
3 stems of burgundy Amaranthus
5 stems of seeded eucalyptus
5 stems of free spirit garden roses
3 stems red dahlias
3 stems of burgundy leucadendron
5 stems of deep pink celosia
Place the sunflowers in a triangle formation in the chicken wire. Feel free to bend the chicken wire to hold the heads of the sunflowers up. Keep the stems long so they go all the way to the bottom of your container.
Next place the burgundy Amaranthus between the sunflowers and pointing out of your arrangement on an angle.
Break up the pieces of seeded eucalyptus and place around the edge of the container to cover your chicken wire and plastic lining. Insert some seeded eucalyptus in the centre of the arrangement as well.
Next, place the free spirit garden roses around the base of the container, making sure to evenly distribute them amongst your arrangement.
Place the red dahlias with one more towards the centre and the other two on either side of the arrangement.
Break up the leucadendron and nestle it into your arrangement.
Place the celosia around the edge of your arrangement and another more in the centre.
Add a couple of little pumpkins & your table is ready for fall festivities!
