Homes for the Holidays has been a staple of Ottawa’s holiday season for 14 years and with good reason! A stunning effort from the wonderful people at Hospice Care Ottawa to raise funds and awareness for the Hospice at May Court, it combines charity and the cheer of the holiday season for all to enjoy.

The elegant dinning room from last year’s home
Since 1987, The Hospice has provided and developed palliative and end-of-life care services to patients and their families while serving all religions and cultures. This charitable care is provided by the small dedicated staff and volunteers in a supportive and peaceful setting that reflects a home environment. Hospice services include Home Support, Day Hospice, Residential Hospice and Family Support. In order to continue this broad mandate, the Hospice relies on community generosity and support.

Flowers Talk Tivoli makes Christmas morning
Flowers Talk Tivoli has been proud to participate in the event the past few years; donating time, staff and thousands of fresh flowers to decorate one of the prestigious homes on the tour. This year we are decorating not one, but TWO homes: an exciting new build in beautiful Hampton Park at 496 Mayfair Ave, and a cozy 1920’s home, located at 334 Acacia Ave in lush Rockcliffe Park. Formerly the setting of a television cooking show, The Galloping Gourmet, the impressive test kitchen is still featured and we will be decorating it with the help of our good friends at Gloss Events and Decor.

We even put plants on the plants!
Tickets are $50 each and are on sale now at Flowers Talk Tivoli; the event runs from November 18-20, but tickets sell out fast! Last year 1,600 tickets holders helped raise over $238,000 to support the hospice and this year we aim to beat that, so hurry in!
