How-To: Tulip Centrepiece (A Step-By-Step Guide)
Sunshine, new growth, bright colours, and fresh scents—all the things I love as the seasons change and we welcome the spring and summer months! I also love bringing some of that brightness into my home at this time of year with DIY decor. Let’s create a simple, yet elegant tulip centrepiece together!
Find all of the supplies and instructions you will need below, or click play on the Youtube video and follow along with me—it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
To create this tulip centrepiece, you will need:
- A bunch of fresh tulips
- A medium glass trifle container or clear decorative bowl
- Cold water
- A candle of your choice
- A small glass
Instructions:
- Begin by adding 1/4 to 1/2 inch of cold water to your glass container. Cold water slows down the opening of the tulips, making this arrangement last longer.
- Snip the tulips at the stem and gently bend them to wrap them along the inside of the container. Ensure the head of the Tulip is lifted and the stems are submerged in the water. The keyword here is gently! For added beauty, keep some of the green leaves on the tulip stems. Repeat this step until the entire container is lined with tulips.
- Place your candle inside a small glass or holder (if it doesn’t come in one) and then place it in the middle of the centrepiece.
And that’s it! How easy was that? I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and enjoy your beautiful new arrangement.
