We count ourselves lucky to have been able to work with so many amazing couples for their wedding flowers in Ottawa. And Maria & Dom were no different! We provided the flowers for one of Maria’s sisters a couple of years ago and will be doing the flowers for the last sister this fall. A wonderful family with beautiful girls!
When Maria sat down with us she described her wedding vision as classic, romantic and soft. Her favourite flowers are white peonies and she wanted them everywhere.
Maria’s bouquet was a mix of white peonies, white garden roses and cascading white phalenopsis orchids. For her bridal enterouge, we simplified the bouquets to white peonies. For the decor,Maria wanted to add a garden feel to the flowers. We did that with white hydrangeas, white peonies, white lisianthus, white spray roses and ruscus in a low footed bowl. Pretty and added decor to the table, still allowing guests full view of each other and the bridal party. The touch of green allowed the centrepieces to contrast slightly with the white decor. The decor worked perfectly with the cool clean lines of the newly renovated Ottawa Convention Centre.
