The Calathea Rosy has patterned leaves with a soft, rosy pink blush running through the foliage, a warmer, softer look than many other Calathea varieties. Like other prayer plants, its leaves rise and fold at night.
Care: This one prefers medium to bright indirect light, direct sun will scorch the leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy, and use filtered or distilled water if you can, Calatheas are sensitive to tap water minerals. Higher humidity keeps the leaf edges from browning.
Good news for pet owners: Calatheas are considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
