4″ Croton

The Croton is grown for its bold, multicoloured leaves, splashed in shades of red, orange, yellow and green, often all on the same leaf. It’s an easy way to bring warm, tropical colour into a room without needing flowers.

Care: This one wants bright light, including some direct sun, to keep its colours vibrant, low light will cause the leaves to fade toward plain green. Keep the soil evenly moist, and try to find it a permanent spot, Crotons can be fussy about being moved around.

A note for pet owners: Crotons are toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or ingested, so keep it out of reach of curious pets.
