6″ Blue Star Fern in Hanging Basket

The Blue Star Fern stands out with its soft, blue-green fronds and a texture unlike any other fern in your collection. It’s an epiphytic plant in the wild, growing on tree trunks and pulling moisture from the air around it, which makes it naturally well suited to life in a hanging basket.

This one comes ready to hang in a 6″ basket, perfect for a bright spot where its unique colouring can really stand out.

Care basics

Blue Star Fern likes bright, indirect light, avoid direct sun, which can scorch and fade its colour, and avoid deep shade, which can slow growth and cause leaf loss. Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy, watering once the top inch has dried out, and water toward the edge of the pot rather than the crown, since the fuzzy rhizomes at the base don’t like sitting wet. Average home humidity suits it well, though it’ll appreciate an occasional misting if your space runs dry.

It’s also completely non-toxic, making it a safe, worry-free choice for homes with pets and little ones.
