6″ Peperomia Prostrata – String of Turtles
$45.00
Meet the plant with the internet’s favorite leaves: Peperomia prostrata, better known as String of Turtles. Each tiny leaf is patterned just like a little turtle shell, deep green with silvery veining, strung along thin, wiry stems that trail more beautifully the longer they grow.
It’s a slow, low-fuss grower that’s happiest left mostly alone. Tuck it in a small pot on a shelf, windowsill, or hanging planter: anywhere those trailing vines can spill over the edge and show off.
Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. A little gentle morning sun is fine, but keep it out of strong afternoon rays.
Water: Let the soil dry out between waterings. This one stores water in its leaves and stems, so it’s more forgiving of a skipped watering than a soggy pot.
Humidity: Does fine in average home humidity, though it won’t say no to a little extra.
Pets: Non-toxic to cats and dogs, a safe pick for plant lovers with curious pets.
