6″ Pink Lady Callisia Hanging Basket

Pink Lady Callisia is a little showstopper. This trailing plant, a Tradescantia relative, has tiny glossy leaves striped in pink, purple, and green, all tumbling out of a 6″ hanging basket in a dense, colourful cascade.

It stays compact and low growing, so it’s perfect for a smaller hanging spot, a shelf, or anywhere you want a hit of colour without a huge plant taking over.

Care

Give it bright indirect light. A little direct sun actually helps bring out that vivid pink and purple striping.

Let the soil dry out slightly between waterings, this one doesn’t like to sit wet. Average household humidity is fine, nothing extra needed.

One note for pet owners: the sap can be a mild skin and stomach irritant if chewed or handled a lot, so it’s best kept somewhere curious cats and dogs can’t nibble on it.
