Say Hello To Summer With These Planters
We can finally put away those winter jackets and pull out our gardening tools with the long-term forecast of sunshine and warm weather!
Summer planters are my favourite out of all of the seasons to plant. The colours, the sizes, the variety and the tropical influence with so many different plants is absolutely stunning!
There is a pretty big difference in how planters look from the beginning of the season, to how full they look by mid-season!
Get your planter and start gardening with inspiration from these pictures of some of my favourite planters that I planted in the past.
First I have this large planter, this mix was beautifully complemented by the afternoon sun! It is filled with both white and red mandevilla, German ivy, fragrant jasmine, and a large area palm. The best part of this planter is that the flowers spill nicely over the front of the container and to top it all off, you get to indulge in the lovely fragrance the entire summer!
This second planter I am a huge a fan of! This eclectic mix of lime green philodendron, asparagus ferns, ioxa, solamanun, red mandevilla and bromeliad are a great way to say “hello” to summer.
If you are looking for a classic planter, I have just the thing for you! This last picture is a planter that does well in the morning sun. A classic mix of bridal veil, spathe, million bells petunias, New Guinea impatiens, and lime green potato vine adds a perfect touch of lush to any porch. The spathe eventually fills in nicely, creating a beautiful background to the hanging plants at the front.
