How To Style Your Thanksgiving Table

by Decor, Elizabeth's Picks, Fall

Thanksgiving may look a lot different this year since we won’t be hosting large groups in our homes, but that shouldn’t stop you from making your table beautiful for your intimate family or small social bubble!

Here are four quick and easy styling tips to transform your dining room for Thanksgiving.

1. A Fall Centrepiece

A fall centrepiece is a perfect way to add some colour to your table. We offer some fabulous fall centrepiece options at the shop, and you can even join us for one of our virtual workshops and make one yourself!

Floral Arrangement

Florals are not just for spring. In fact, they are a great way to bring in some of the classic harvest colours of fall. Purchase a fresh and vibrant floral centrepiece from our online shop or make one with us on October 8, 2020.

Fall Pumpkin Centerpiece

This is a show-stopping centrepiece that your guests are sure to love. You can purchase this flower-filled pumpkin pre-made or you can enjoy the fun of making it in our virtual workshop on October 9, 2020.

Small Succulent & Dried Flower-Filled Pumpkins

These little guys are so cute and festive and they look fantastic in a cluster on your table. These mini-pumpkins are bursting with beautiful dried blooms and sweet succulents – you can even plant the succulents after! Find them pre-made on our online store here, or purchase one of our pumpkin and succulent DIY kits to take home with you.

2. Gourds and Mini Pumpkins

This is a simple way to make any table look festive. Mini gourds and pumpkins can be bought at your local farmers market or even at some grocery stores. I love adding little ghost pumpkins in the centre of my plates for an extra touch (and how fitting of a name for October?).

3. Autumn Leaves

Use leaves to add some greenery, fill out the table a little more, and add the perfect fall touch. You could use magnolia, eucalyptus, dried Chinese lanterns, or even just some leaves you found in your backyard!

4. Place Settings and Extra Touches

Of course, you can’t forget the plates! I love using my turkey-themed dishes, placed on top of decorative placemats that provide some contrast to the table. Add some floral paper napkins and candles, and if you want to go above and beyond you could even write your guest’s names on leaves as place cards!
